Hi in my experience this dress fits perfectly around the waist and is to size , it also accentuates the bust and gently drapes over the stomach area hiding any lumps and bumps.

The dress has more of an empire cut - so it sits under the bust and flows from there. It's a beautiful dress and very comfortable to wear.

Answer:
I’m not very technical but is a thickish stretchy T shirt material (cotton).it does have a soft feel to it. I wore my dress in the UK and on holiday in Spain and Tenerife and it did keep me cool and comfortable.Overall I was very happy with it.

- i'm a uk 16/18, which is best for me? Large, extra large or extra extra large?I'm a 14/16 and got a large. I'd say there's still a bit of room, especially as the waist sits high. Though if you're large chested may be best to go for the extra large
