  Great looking practical and comfortable

  Lovely Sandals really like the multi colour mix, quite subtle in the 'flesh'. I've had this style before so I knew they'd fit and anyway all the adjustable straps give you the opportunity to get them just right I think though that this style is quite narrow, so probably not good if you have wider feet.

  Very comfortable and solid build

  As usual with ecco, top quality - you get what you pay for. Very comfortable and solid build. I have ecco walking boots - 5 years old and still going strong, ecco trainers - two years old and good as new. These sandals are just great and I expect they will last for years! I noticed some comments about being too narrow. I have a broad foot and all my ecco's fit fine.

  I bought these in replacement of my beloved Merrell Kahuna III, the comfiest sandals I've ever owned. What I don't like about the Kahuna's is that for the price they wear out far too quickly (they lasted two seasons) but I do like to cover a lot of miles. I expect more for a sandal of this price point, especially a vibram sole.So bought the ECCOs to see if they would last longer.The things I like: Look okay (not as good as the Merrells IMHO). Seem well made and sturdy, with good quality materials throughout. The sole is thick, cushioned and seems like it could last a good while - can't comment on long-term longevity because I haven't had them long enough. The straps retain your feet well and I would recommend going one size up from normal shoe size. The width is quite narrow.Stuff I don't like: The fit... I don't find these particularly comfortable. The stitching on the inside of the toe strap has caused sore abrasion on my little toe. The sole has caused a blister on the ball of my feet - not an awful one but a blister nonetheless. Due to the thickness of the soles I feel like the foot sits too high up (they feel like platform shoes for me, not that I've ever worn any!), especially after coming from the Merrells. I've stumbled over sideways for instance on uneven pavements. I like to be closer to the ground and feel more (not so close that it's uncomfortable), which I got in the Merrells. The drop from heel to toe also feels too high, I feel like my toes are angled downwards slightly too much (again compared with the Merrells, which are pretty flat). I can't comment at this stage whether these comfort issues will resolve themselves as they break-in.Bottom line: Would I buy these again? It's a resounding "No" from me! In fact I've actually just bought another pair of Merrells (stick with what you know), which despite the relatively fast wear, were supremely comfortable out of the box and continued to be. Like a cherished pair of comfy slippers, they disappear on the feet, and I look forward to many more happy miles.

  Disappointing

  Like the other eleven sandals I have now returned from all ranges of expense these had no padding on the underside of leather crossstraps.and the instep straps are far too short .Most people wear socks for most of year so insteps are delicate skin.I am trying to replace a Clarks pair bought in 2005 which had such padding and much longer straps( no Clarks sandals now have either! )This pair also had no adjustment in length of toe straps !

  My favourite shoes.

  I Love Ecco Offroads. This is my third pair. Super comfortable. You can easily forget that you are wearing shoes.I wore my first pairs around China, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. They are still in use but not for long walks as they do lose their cushioning over time.This style is slightly different from my original ones. I would like more leeway on the velcro fastening for adjustment to fit perfectly.

  Rubbing Issues

  Wore this pair of sandles a few times since purchased them in August. Only yesterday, wondered why top of my toes felt sore, then realized it was caused by the front straps. Just missed the return window. Such a pain and shame. I really love the colour combination, fit perfectly, the workmanship is good. Slightly too heavy for me as so used to my Merrel boating sandles which are much lighter. However, as the colours are so beautiful, I decided to keep them. Big mistake! I don't expect sore toes from a pair of sandles cost almost £65.

  Quality and comfort!

  I read the reviews and had a look on the Ecco website at the size guide. Based on that I ordered a UK 4/4.5 and they are a perfect fit. As previous reviewers have mentioned, I don’t think they would be suitable for anyone with particularly wide feet. I am recovering from a stress fracture of my metatarsal and good quality, comfortable walking sandals are essential. I think these fit the bill at a reasonable price.

  Heel strap too low

  I had high hopes for these sandals. Ecco is a trusted brand, especially for comfortable walking sandals. I have had a number of them over the years and they have always been shoes I could walk for miles in. Unfortunately, the design of these sandals has been compromised in order that they look trendy. The height of the heel strap leaves a lot to be desired. It is so low it constantly feels like it is slipping off and there is no way to adjust it, as that is how it has been designed. The shoes are on the narrow side, but I was expecting that and the adjustable straps over the feet can be used to sort it out. If it weren't for the dratted heel strap these would be great.

  Nice Sandals

  Lovely, comfortable ,light sandals from Ecco. I have worn Ecco sandals for the last twelve years and decided to go for an upgrade. These are significantly lighter than the older models and the straps are much narrower but they are still effective and the sandal stays in position without any chafing. I was able to put them on and wear them for a straight nine hours without and problems and they felt broken in from the minute I put them on. I think they were good value for money and expect them to last for a considerable time

  Best of the bunch

  I've tried several makes of sandal for hiking, including rough tracks. Went for a quick 5 mile walk on varied terrain and they are comfortable straight out of the box. I think these are going to be the best of the bunch for me. I normally take a size 43, and 43 in these sandals fits me perfectly - even though my right foot is 5mm longer than the left. The heel strap adjustment is important in positioning the foot properly on the moulded insole, but once it is set up properly, all very comfortable. The design is neat, with no clumsy sticky-out overhanging features you get with some designs. They appear to be very well made and look like being very hard wearing.
