  Amazing!

  These are incredibly comfortable sandals which literally hug the sole of your feet. A previous question regarding whether there is arch support has been asked, and some have said 'no' in response. There is! The sole is shaped higher under the arch and with my flat feet and arthritis, this is essential. Some have been negative too about the Velcro fastenings, saying the one over the front of the foot is for decoration only. Again, not entirely true. It does adjust the width slightly, with elastic underneath, so unless you have extremely wide feet, I can't see what the problem is. I have bunions - due to too many years during my youth wearing high heels - and these sandals easily expand to accommodate. Sturdy enough for walking on rough terrain, whilst stylish enough to add interest and colour to your summer outfits. My winkle picker stiletto shoe days may be over, but I'm not compromising style for comfort just yet!

  The strap across the front of the foot is for decoration only as the bar under the strap is fixed. This means the front of the shoe is not adjustable and consequently for me it rubbed. The upper material is rather like wet suit fabric so it does not breathe as leather does and I don't expect it will wear to the shape of my foot with use. I was looking for a rigorous walking sandal and I would not recommend these or purchase them again. As a positive though the sole of the shoe is substantial and has an excellent grip on grass and rock.I think they are overpriced and very disappointing. I have bought ECCO shoes for years with satisfaction but not this time.

  Comfortable and supportive

  I needed comfortable and supportive sandals due to having an Achilles problem and plantar fasciitis and these sandals have helped me walk more easily . Can’t fault them . They are lovely and soft too . Delivery was faster than expected which is always a bonus

  As a result of being a runner for many years, my feet are shot! Therefore, finding any footwear which is forgiving and comfortable is no easy task. These sandles fit my poor, battered feet perfectly. I take a size 6 with a medium fitting and they are spot on! I have several pairs of other brands, including Merrells but these are much better. Because finding footwear that ticks all the boxes, including allowing for small bunions, is a rarity, I am about to order another pair.

  Comfortable fit and to walk in but only given four stars as arch support is minimal and, though the description calls them wedges, they're not. There is no height difference between the heel and toe due to the cushioning effect and it's therefore the same as walking on flat shoes which, for me, is agony on my calf muscles when walking my two dogs uphill. Great on level ground and uneven surfaces, well cushioned on soles and straps. All three straps are Velcro controlled so easy and comfortable adjustment, stylish and great quality. Fairly expensive but worth it on the whole but wouldn't, personally, buy again as not suitable for me during hill walking.

  I tried 5 pairs of walking sandals on with prime try before you buy and the Ecco were by far the most comfortable without any need to break in. Hugging the foot and such a comfortable sole. Arch support is perfect. The heel isslightly higher than other designs which suits me best having tight hamstrings. All round adjustment and althoughon the full take up across the foot ( I have narrow feet) still fit perfectly. I am size 6 and these are true to size.Devon is very rugged and these master all the tricky walks.

  Ecco shoes and sandals offer superb comfort. I have arthritic feet and a very high arch but these allow me to walk miles. Very good price for these too.

  Absolutely fabulous sandles I have problems with my feet (stretched tendons) so need orthotics in everything or shoes with good arch support and these do have excellent arch support just done a long walk with no problems beautiful soft footbed and straps to your individual width. Excellent "you only get what you pay for"........

  Bought these sandals for our holiday to the Caribbean since the first pair lasted only 15 years! YES that amount of time, - they are absolutely fit for purpose, and in my humble opinion worth every penny spent. COMFORT is paramount when on holiday walking etc etc first class for fit, performance, & longevity, - a sandal which comes highly recommended! Absolutely no affiliations whatsoever with the company, just an extremely satisfied customer who loves this sandal and the marque as supplied.

  Oh! Not again

  Great walking sandals, good quality but did not have arch support that l specified on my Amazon request. No goodfor flat feet. Waste of my time, postage etc and a big disappointment as looked like exactly what l wanted.
