  Great pair of water shoes from KEEN with just one niggle

  I almost didn't buy these as I'd seen so many reviews about the Whisper being really narrow. Ihave regular width feet and chose my usual size 6. I don't find them too narrow at all, they just feel like they fit. There's plenty of space in the toe area and it feels like they grip the rear of my feet well. They are easy to slip on and the bungee makes it easy to adjust the fit quickly. I'm marking them down by one star simply because the arch support isn't amazing and as someone who over-pronates a decent footbed means I can walk further without pain, but as these are water shoes, I'm only going to be walking short distances wearing them to get into the water anyway and the footbed feels supportive enough, just without the level of arch support I like. They are really comfy though, hold my foot in place well and whilst I've not yet used them out on the water, they feel capable and are a great replacement to my very old KEEN Uneek water shoes.

  Almost Perfect

  I am a convert to Keen footwear but I do agree with a lot of reviewers in so much that the sizing between Keen products can vary quite a lot. I have two pairs of different styles of Keen walking boots, and each fit is a little different, but I am normally a UK size 5 and I needed a 5 1/2 in their hiking boot range. I read the reviews for these sandels carefully and decided on a size 5 rather than the 5 1/2 I would normally go for in Keen footwear. These are an odd fit, they almost feel too big, with my big toe nowhere near the end of the shoe. However, although the toe end feels a bit on the big side, the shoe is comfy and doesn't feel like it will fall off, nor does it rub. As my feet warmed up the sandel was more comfortable to wear which I guess is probably the point of a sandel allowing your foot to expand in the heat. I knocked off a star as getting a perfect fit is very complicated. I am sure the 4 1/2 will feel too small, and a 5 1/2 would probably just slip right off my foot! So if your not used to rather weird sizing with Keen footwear you might want to try on before you buy if possible, or go for an offer with free postage returns. Overall I am pleased with these sandels and they are robust and comfortable to wear.

  Desperate to find comfy shoes I had to trust the other reviews, I wasn't disappointed, I have suffered from plantars for over 10months and arthritis in my knee and at 52 was walking like a 92yr old on a bad day, these have put a new spring in my step and I am now able to enjoy long walks again. It's great they do half sizes as I am sometimes a 6/7, bought 6.5 and they fit perfectly. Sorry if this is long winded but they really are worth raving about, have now bought the walking boots ready for the winter.

  Comfortable and nice looking sandals

  These sandal are so comfortable. I was dreading having to wear them in as I had to do with my Teva ones that rubbed so much, but haven’t had a problem so far. I go for long dog walks through woodland areas where the ground is all different levels and find these sandals are sturdy enough. They look really nice and are not clumpy looking. The one thing I would say is that I found my normal shoe size to be too narrow fitting, (and I don’t have wide feet), so I returned them,(without any hassle) for a half a size up from my normal size and they fit much better. I would definitely recommend

  good sandals, misleading sizing

  The sandals are good for light hiking, but they don't offer much support during steep descend. Bought them for a tropical tour. Well, I would be better off using full boots. These don't offer any protection against ants or sand. The sizing is small. I normally buy size 6 for shoes and boots, but had to order 6.5 for these. And they are rather shallow. I believe I have an average foot, but had to wear them in maximum spread. Which was fine most of the time, except after a long flight when my feet got swollen and I struggled with putting these sandals back on.I don't believe they are worth full price.

  Great robust multi sandals.

  These are ideal robust summer walking sandals. They have proved perfect for beach walking and manage the pebbles, shingle and sand well. Sole is thick and sturdy. The elastic system works well for fit. The toe is very wide but has good toe protection. They are a wide fit. I bought my usual size. Have used for 5 mile walks with ease.Would recommend.

  You can’t go wrong with Keen: best I’ve tried

  This is my second pair of Whisper sandals. The first I bought almost 15 years ago and they lasted me well. I have slim feet so I find these wider in the toe than my previous ones, but still comfortable and sturdy. I got a size U.K. 4.5 and I am usually a 4 or 5. I would recommend buying a couple of sizes and sending one back as each Keen shoe may be slightly different in sizing. For example. I also bought the Explore walking boot and bought the U.K. size 4. 5 was far too big and 4.5 left my foot with too much room. Although quite expensive Keen are always good quality and very durable. Would never buy another make of outdoor walking/trekking.

  These are my second pair of Keen sandals (I’ve a pair of Rose as well) and I wanted them for cycling. They’re shockingly comfortable right out the box.I got my normal size 6.5 and they fit perfectly. My feet are a touch wide and they’re just fine. Strangely, my Rose 6.5s are probably a half size too big. Keen sizing is weird, from the sounds of it.I definitely recommend them for walking and biking! Nice thick sole and adjustable sizing with the pull tie.

  Why would you have a shoe that you can’t undo? I purchased a size ABOVE my usual size because I have a medium-wide fit, but there is no way I could put it on due to the heel strap not undoing. I tried and tried but my foot would not go in.

  Comfy walking sandal

  A great sandal for the summer months. Comfy, well supported, waterproof and cleans well too so easily kept fresh. I wear these on a daily basis, walking the dogs, round the house etc This is my second pair, previous pair looking a bit tired after 3 years of wear but still useable.
