- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 July 2016Great Merrell sandalsI'm very happy with these sandals. I bough two different pairs of Merrell sandals and have been very pleased with both. These have a well formed and padded sole covered in a soft fuzzy stuff. All the straps are adjustable - not true of the other sandals which are also comfortable - and they are very light. If you are doing serious walking or scrambling I think you might want heavier duty sandals. For cities and light walking these are brilliant.

Sadly my stocks have been depleted and it has been the time to purchase another pair of sandals. It has taken me 6 attempts to find a pair that fits. Other styles were either too big round the toes and my foot slipped out, straps didn't have enough velcro fastening or the toe thong was too tight around my big toe. So I have settled on the Terran Strap II. These arrived promptly and I have worn them a little round the house and today given them their maiden voyage up to the shops and through the park. They are incredibly lightweight for a sturdy little sandal and I think are going to be wonderfully comfortable. They are not going to weigh anything in my holiday luggage. The 3 straps are all flexible enough so there is room for getting the perfect fit and the arch and toe support are a Godsend as I think they try and alleviate the inevitable sole burning I sometimes experience after a long walk. I am highly delighted with my purchase. I have ordered some Terran Cross II sandals which were half price but should these not fit the bill I will be purchasing another pair of the Terran Strap II in another colour. Thank you Merrell.

I'm not a shoe addict but I do have 3 pairs of these in different colours and designs and I wear them all year round so I get through a couple of pairs a year. They actually have the very same contours as an insole that the podiatrist designed for me at the hospital, she was amazed. I have rheumatoid arthritis and these sandals are the only footwear I can wear most days. They extend the amount of time I can stand and walk by a huge amount and the all round fit is so comfortable and controllable with the velcro fastenings on all cross foot and ankle straps. Expensive but worth it......Sheer heaven for me

These are perfect. With 4 straps they are adjustable and strike a nice balance between practicality/comfort and looks. Well worth the price. I've already worn these more than all my other sandals combined (which I should finally pass on now).

I feel that the straps will become even more relaxed with wear, which is a plus, and the advantage is that each strap is fully adjustable. Unlike several other brands, these sandals are true to size in UK sizes. My reason for not awarding five stars is that as these sandals are still quite new, I don't know how they would last with wear and after a few rainy days.

These fit the bill perfectly and can be adjusted on every strap making for a good fit all round. The soft soles really help to keep my feet as comfortable as they can be. I'd recommend them!

I had ones with inner sole made of fabric, but it traps loads of dust an small pebbles, when you are hiking. For small city walks is ok, but not for hike in dry mediterranean hills. I had to return, but I liked them. Ordered another with plastic inner sole.

I was worried the soft material on the insole would get ruined very quickly, especially walking on dusty footpaths while on vacation but I popped them in the washing machine and they now look as good as new! Well worth the money, would buy again!
