VITRHAL WOOD CHAIR ORANGE DARK OAK

Ergonomically designed by Jasper Morrison, HAL provides freedom of movement in a number of seating positions making it ideal for a wide variety of spaces.The clean, curved profile of the seat is supported by simple turned oak legs, each of which is fixed in place by a concealed grey base.Thanks to the succinct form of this design, HAL looks great in a range of colour combinations, with a choice of tones for the seat and light or dark oak finishes on the legs.

Designed by Salih Teskeredžić for Gazzda, the minimalist Muna Chair is ideal for contemporary dining spaces. The only Jean Prouvé chair to be made entirely from wood, the dark oak Chaise Tout Bois is expertly crafted today by Vitra. In a similar style to Prouvé's famous Standard Chair, the design was adapted due to the scarcity of metal during WWII. The wood’s warm look and feel contrasts beautifully with the chair’s industrial, sculptural design. The award-winning chair was the recipient of a prize in the 1947 Meubles de France competition in recognition of its ability to be both high-quality and mass-produced.

Although known for his work in wood throughout his career, Hans J. Wegner often explored the limits and potential of other materials. The CH88T Dining Chair is one such example. The design was initially developed by Wegner as a prototype with coloured legs. It was displayed at the international Helsingborg Exhibition in Sweden in 1955. Decades later, Carl Hansen & Søn put the chair into production in celebration of the 2014 centennial of Wegner’s birth. The CH88T is versatile, elegant and functional. Its convenient stackable design seamlessly joins wood and industrial steel, showcasing Wegner’s skill in lending softness to minimalist forms. The steel frame supports an oval wooden seat and steam-bent backrest with elegantly upturned ends forming a natural resting place for the forearms.

Winner of a Wallpaper magazine design award, the tall Comback makes a striking dining or occasional chair.Reimagining traditional English style furniture, this Patricia Urquiola design features a distinctive Backrest and seat that is moulded from a single piece of plastic to follow the natural curves of the body.The unique shape of the frame has a patterned relief of contemporary geometric form, imitating the lined back bar of a Windsor chair in an entirely novel way. In keeping with this spirit of nouvelle craft, four turned and tapered legs support the seat available comes in a choice of natural oak or lacquered beech to match the numerous colours on offer.

Having already produced a series of designs for Fritz Hansen that are similar in construction, Jacobsen had perfected the technique of pressure moulding layers of sliced veneer, a beech wood core covered by lacquered ash, to create this robust and versatile piece.The linear outline of the Grand Prix reflects motifs common within mid-century Atomic style furniture, with two rectangular curves set at an angle atop a thin bodied backrest. Moulded to form to the natural contours of the user, the winged curvature of the seat not only provides an elegant swooping line, but also ample comfort and support.Each of the wonderfully bowed legs are given rounded indentation along both sides with discreet rubber guards in place to prevent friction between the base the frame.Made from lacquered ash wood, this angular chair is available in a range or bright or muted tones that suit modern and vintage inspired interiors.

2016 saw the completion of the “Piuma” project by Piero Lissoni. The chair is one of the most revolutionary and enterprising products in Kartell’s repertoire of technology and materials. By applying its injection moulding techniques in a sophisticated new way that was designed especially for this material, an exclusive in the world of industrial design, Kartell has managed to create a chair that measures just a few millimetres thick (2 mm max), resulting in an ultra-light product (barely 2.2 kg). It is the first time that a material containing carbon fibre has been injection moulded, and for an aesthetic, stylish product at that. Thanks to this unprecedented mix of materials, the Piuma is not only extremely light and slender but also incredibly durable, flexible and suitable for outdoor use.

Centred on a bent tubular base, the sledge like legs, moulded seat and curved backrest of the Sim create a strikingly slender silhouette for minimally styled interiors.Configured from a strong chrome-plated steel wire, the frame of this chair not only has a subtle flexibility but also enables it to be stacked up to 12 seats high freestanding producing a hypnotic pattern in itself.Adding comfort to flexibility, the Sim features a dyed plastic seat and backrest each of which are moulded into an accommodating shell that simply locks onto the base.#
