- I am buying for someone who is size 16-18 depending on manufacturer, recommendation please.Depending on manufacturer I'm typically a 16, but bought a size 18 just in case. Its a gorgeous gorgeous dress but very roomy. Had to have a layer taken off the bottom and the shoulder straps shortened as was too long for me, even in heels [Im average height]. I think the 16 would've been generous too.
