The foot bed (or whatever you call the bit your foot sits on) is smoother and more slippery than my other pair, but I think I’ll probably get used to this. They appear well made. Once the leather softens a little (always needed with new shoes I think) I anticipate they’ll be every bit as comfortable as my other Birkenstock Arizona’s.

- i wear birkenstop sandles european 38 standard. what corresponds to uk size.I think it would be UK size 6-6.5. I find I have to take size 36 for Birkenstock, though my usual size in Europe is 37.
- are they narrow ?I wouldn’t have said so. My daughter has the narrow fit Birkenstocks because she has very slender feet, but the standard fit, which I have, accomodate my wide(ish) feet, and of course, they’re quite adjustable.
